We're CPA firm owners too
My partner and I started our practice, excited by the wave of referrals that initially poured in. We thought we had it all figured out, but soon the referrals dried up, and we found ourselves stuck in a cycle of unpredictable growth. No consistent growth meant we couldn't hire a team, forcing us to take on everything ourselves. It wasn't sustainable, and it certainly wasn't good for our clients, our families, or us.
Desperate for a solution, we experimented with every strategy we could think of. Outbound emailing brought in a single client, while social media and LinkedIn outreach led to literally nothing. The frustration and sense of failure were overwhelming. Just as we were about to give up, I decided to give Google Ads a try. My rationale was simple: if they don't click, I don't pay. It seemed worth a shot.
The day we received our first lead through Google Ads was wild. A few sentences written on Google had sparked genuine interest from potential clients. I dug deeper into Google Ads, tweaking and testing every aspect of our campaigns. The results - we saw a 5X return on our investment in the first year, achieving a $1.2M growth rate and closing about $100K in ARR each month.
Once we did see growth I realized how much I hated sales. It took up way too much of my time. So, I decided to study the best sales systems and build our Closer's Guide. Now with a process and a team of people who actually liked sales, I was finally able concentrate solely on scoping out work effort and building trust with our soon-to-be clients.
The success we experienced made me think: if we could do this for ourselves, we could transform the lives of many other accountants who were, like us, chained to their desks during tax season because they couldn't afford help without growth.
To avoid competing with our firm, we decided to offer our services in the United States. Our approach was straightforward yet effective. Clients typically started with a $3K/month ad spend, and we consistently turned that into $10K/month in closed revenue.
Today, our journey has come full circle. From nearly giving up to achieving the growth we wanted, we now empower other accountants to break free from the lack of growth that once held us back. By leveraging our proven strategies, we help accountants go from practice owners to business owners, and transform their work-life balance.
